It is located in the heart of South America, bordering on Brasil, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile and Peru.

Bolivia has 2 well defined regions: The highlands area and the Amazon Rainforest (Oriente).
Population:
7.9 million inhabitants made up of different ethnic groups: Indoamericans (55%), Mestizo (35%), African (1%) and Europeans (9%).
Capital:
La Paz (seat of government and commerce). Sucre (legal capital).
Language & Religion:
Spanish is the official language. Quechua, Aymara and Guarani are the most spoken. The main religion is Catholicism (92% of the population).
