AMAZONAS RAINFOREST
Drive from Puno to Sillustani (or arriving at the airport in Juliaca, on the way to Puno), to visit the Tombs or Chullpas de Sillustani, interesting circular towers made from stone and used in past times as the burial site of the ancient Hatun Colla chiefs. Transport to the hotel in Puno.

Titicaca Uros & Taquile Islands 8 hrs.
From your hotel transfer to the shores of Titicaca Lake and visit by boat to Uros, the unique floating islands located on Titicaca Lake, considered one of the highest lake in the world (at almost 4000 m). On this group of 40 big island-like packs of floating Totora (reed), Uros natives continue living like their ancestors, preserving its costumes and idiosyncrasy, but above all, their own system of communal life. Later on we continue to visit the Taquile Island, where are still living descendants from the Incas and they spin the finest woven goods in Peru. Late afternoon we will return to Puno and transfer to your hotel. (L).

Full day excursion to the famous Amantani Island located at 3812 m. This is an impressive center of archaeological zones and the place where you can meet the Yatiri Indians and the famous Titicaca Lake “Shamanes” who read your future on coca leaves. World famous hand weavings and ancient communal way of life can be also admired.

Pto. Maldonado - Jungle lodge 3D/2N
Day 1: LODGE ACCOMMODATION & EXCURSIONS
Our tour begins with the reception at the airport followed by a small tour of Puerto Maldonado’s colourful markets before crossing town to the shores of the Madre de Dios River. Here the motorized canoe waits to take you to our lodge, where you are warmly welcomed with a refreshing cocktail. Once settled into the rooms the adventure begins with a trip to an historical boat, the Fitzcarrald stranded well within the jungle a good 400 meters from the river. Lunch, followed by a short siesta, precedes a 3/4-hour walk introducing you to the Amazonian forest and some of its hard-discovered secrets including medicinal plants and l local legends. The diversity of life and forms will for sure astonish you. Back to thelodge and we will have dinner. (L, D)
Day 2: THE AMAZON FLORA AND FAUNA
Day starts with a dawn trip towards the parrot clay lick, known as collpas, to witness a phenomenal spectacle where several species of parrot and parakeet come to feed on clay. We will have breakfast at the lodge then back on the river for an 8 km trip downstream to visit the Monkey Island. We will enjoy a delicious lunch. The afternoon takes us on a 5km walk through vast palm swamps to reach the hidden paradise of Lake Sandoval. Here we have the chance to find the rare “River Wolves” (giant otters), monkeys swinging along the shores and a huge variety of fishes including the piranha. As dusk descends we look for the large black caiman in the lake before an adventurous nocturnal hike back to the river. We will go back to the lodge and dinner. (B, L, D).
Day 3: GOOD BYE
Farewell breakfast. We will go on a boat trip to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport. (B).

Day 3: THE MINING TOWN OF LABERINTO
Puerto Maldonado is an area steeped in history with regard to the extraction of gold. We will take you to the mining town of Laberinto where we can observe the miners at work. A small island provides an opportunity to try our hands at extracting the gold before returning to Laberinto where it is possible to buy your own little nugget if you wish. Leaving Laberinto we return to Puerto Maldonado and head back down to the lodge by river. As an alternative you just remain in the lodge, which is a great option for those wishing to take it easy swinging in the hammocks and making the most of the comforts on offer with a truly breathtaking backdrop. (B, L, D)
Day 4: GOOD BYE
Breakfast and boat trip up to Puerto Maldonado. Transfer to the airport. (B).
