Amazon Rainforest Lodge 2D/1N


Day 1: IQUITOS – LODGE – JUNGLE EXPEDITION
Arrival to Iquitos and transport to Bellavista port located at 3.5 Km. north of Iquitos on the banks of Nanay River. We will do riverboat to visit the ethnic group of the Bora of San Andres (Momon River), where we can acquire beautiful handicrafts. Then we will navigate for about 1 hour along the Amazon River towards Yanamono site (Black monkey) where our lodge is located at 80 km. from Iquitos. Reception at the lodge and then e will have a welcome with a cold drink and accommodations. After lunch with our local guides we go on a two-hour excursion to the jungle to identify botanical species, medicinal plants and amazing trees as the “Lupuna”, one of the widest and tales tree in the jungle. Return to the lodge for resting. Enjoy a beautiful Amazonian sunset and, at night, will also go for a walk by the Manco ravine, affluent of the Amazon River. We hope to be lucky enough to closely appreciate alligators or other amphibians. We will have dinner. (L, D)

Day 2: LODGE - IQUITOS
We will leave early morning to observe birds and the amazing Victoria Regia at the “Caceres” ravine, beautiful affluent of the Amazon River. You will also enjoy the Amazonian dawn from an 8mts. high watchtower. Early in the morning we will have breakfast. At 10:00, we will timely go on an hour fishing tour along the ravines or “cochas” of the Amazon River accompanied with an expert local guide. The most experienced fishermen will feel the emotion of fishing giant piranhas and other fish species. During the tour, we hope to see the shy pink dolphins or River “Bufeos”. We will enjoy lunch. Around 15:00 hours return to Iquitos and transport to the airport.

Amazon Rainforest Lodge 3D/2N

Day 2: LODGE – JUNGLE EXPEDITION
We will leave very early to observe native birds and the amazing Victoria Regia at the “Caceres” ravine, beautiful affluent of the Amazon River. You will also enjoy the Amazonian dawn from an 8-m high watchtower. We will have breakfast at 8:00 at the lodge. By 10:00, we will go by Yanamono’s outskirts where we will have the opportunity to visit a sugar mill to see how spirits or rums are made through fermentation and distillation process. Everybody is invited to taste this drink. Return to the lodge. Lunch at 13:30
In the afternoon, we will timely go on a two-hour fishing tour along the ravines or “cochas” of the Amazon River accompanied with an expert guide. The most experienced fishermen will feel the emotion of fishing giant piranhas and other fish species. During the tour, we hope to see the shy pink dolphins or River “Bufeos”. Return to the lodge and have dinner at 20:00. Stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: LODGE - VISIT TO A RIVERSIDE TOWN
We will have breakfast at the lodge. We will timely visit a riverside town where we will have lunch (camping style) with the possibility to be in touch with the native’s customs and traditions. Return to the lodge and rest. In the afternoon, we will travel along the “tahuampas” (flooded jungle) in canoes for one hour, enjoying the wild landscapes. Dinner and stay overnight at the lodge. Day 4: IQUITOS/ LIMA
Early in the morning we will have breakfast at the lodge, later on navigate to Iquitos and transfer to the airport and then take the flight back to Lima. (B).

Lima - Cusco - Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu 6D/5N

 

Day 1: ARRIVAL LIMA
We will arrive in Lima. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Welcome cocktail and hotel accommodation. There will be a short briefing about next day activities.

Day 2: LIMA - CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY
In the morning we will take the flight to Cusco and reception with immediate transport to Urubamba, the Incas Sacred Valley. Visit Pisac Inca Ruins and the fortress of Ollantaytambo and stay overnight in a Hotel in Urubamba. (B, L)

Day 3: SACRED VALLEY - Machu Picchu - CUSCO
We will have breakfast. Transfer to the train station in Ollanta followed by a beautiful train ride towards Aguas Calientes village. We will arrive and take public bus transport to the main entrance of the world famous Machu Picchu Inca ruins. In a guided tour we will enjoy one of the most impressive ruins in South America. Late afternoon a public bus will take us to Aguas Calientes and return to Cusco by train. Transfer to the Hotel in Cusco. (B).

Day 4: CUSCO CITY & NEARBY RUINS
In the morning we will have and breakfast and visit the nearby ruins of Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Tambo Machay, including a visit to the Qorikancha Temple. We will have the afternoon free and stay at a hotel in Cusco. (B)

Day 5: CUSCO - LIMA
Transfer to the airport and flight to Lima. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon a tour will take us through the colonial town visiting the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, San Francisco Church and the impressive "Catacumbas". Later on we head towards the modern Lima, the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, followed by a visit to the "Gold Museum", which contains some of the world’s most famous gold artefacts of the Inca and Pre-Inca civilisations. Stay at a hotel. (B).

Day 6: LIMA TRANSFER OUT
We will have breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the airport, bus/train station or program extension. (B).

Lima–Nazca–Cusco-Machu Picchu 8D/7N·      

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN LIMA. We will arrive in Lima. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Welcome cocktail and hotel accommodation. We will have a short briefing about next day activities.

Day 2: LIMA – NAZCA – ICA. In the morning we will have breakfast. Starting early in the morning we will be driving south towards Nazca city and transfer service to the airport for the Nazca Lines over-flight, one of the greatest mysteries of South America. Giant geometrical lines resembling land strips, intriguing figures such as a condor, monkey spider, etc. As free bonus and if weather conditions allow it, we will also over flight The Aqueducts. Transport to Ica. Hotel (B)

Day 3: ICA – BALLESTAS – LIMA. In the morning we will have breakfast and visit to Ballestas Islands, where we will observe sea lions, cormorants, pelicans, gannets and abundant kinds of sea birds together with a nice view of the Pacific Ocean. Visit to Paracas National Reserve. Transport back to Lima and hotel accommodations. (B).

Day 1: ARRIVAL LIMA

Day 2: LIMA CITY - PACHACAMAC - LIMA
We will have breakfast. Our tour begins through the colonial town visiting the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, San Francisco Church and the impressive "Catacumbas". Later on we will visit to the "Gold Museum", which contains some of the world’s most famous gold artefacts of the Inca and pre-Inca civilisations. After lunch, at 32 km. Southward on the Pan-American Highway will take you to the entrance of the Pachacamac Ruins, an important pre-Inca Sanctuary, where you can explore the Sun and Moon temples built in pyramid-shaped platforms. Drive back to Lima. Stay at a hotel. (B)

Day 3: LIMA - CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY
In the morning we will have breakfast and then transfer to the airport in Lima, flight to Cusco. We will arrive and reception at the airport. Transport to the Sacred Valley. Visit Pisac and Ollantaytambo and stay overnight in a local Hotel in the Sacred Valley. (B, L)

Day 4: SACRED VALLEY - Machu Picchu - CUSCO
In the morning we will have breakfast and then transfer to Ollanta train station and departure with a tourist train to Aguas Calientes. Drive by public bus to Machu Picchu entrance. Guide tour. Late afternoon we will go to Aguas Calientes by public bus. Train to Cusco. Arrival and transfer to the Hotel in Cusco. (B).

Day 5: CUSCO CITY & NEARBY RUINS
We will have breakfast. Morning visit to the nearby ruins of Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Tambo Machay, including a visit to the Qorikancha Temple. The afternoon will be free and then stay at a hotel in Cusco. (B).

Day 6: CUSCO – PUNO
Before transport towards Puno we will have breakfast. First visit to the Andahuaylillas Temple, were we could observe beautiful 17th century frescoes and a splendid gold-leafed main altar. Continuing will pass Urcos village and stop in Sicuani for lunch. Then pass through the Nudo del Vilcanota, which is the highest crossing point of the White and Black Cordillera de Los Andes (5000 ms). Stop at La Raya where herd of vicuñas can be seen. Continuing to Puno and hotel accommodation (B, L)

Day 7: PUNO – TITICACA LAKE (UROS & TAQUILE)
From your hotel transfer to the shores of Titicaca Lake and visit by boat to Uros, the unique floating islands located on Titicaca Lake. On this group of 40 big island-like packs of floating Totora (reeds), Uros natives continue living like their ancestors, preserving its costumes and their own system of communal life. Later on we continue to visit the Taquile Island, where are still living descendants from the Incas and they spin the finest woven goods in Peru. Return to Puno and transfer to your hotel. (B, L)

Day 8: PUNO – SILLUSTANI – TRANSFER OUT
In the morning we will have breakfast and then go to visit the Chullpas de Sillustani, tower made from circular stones and which were used as the burial site of the ancient Hatun Colla chiefs in the pre – Inca times. Transfer to the airport and then take the flight to Lima. Stay at a hotel. (B, L).

Day 9: LIMA TRANSFER OUT

After lunch we will visit to the nearby and impressive ruins of Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, and Tambo Machay. Return to the hotel in Cusco. (B).

Day 6: CUSCO – PUNO
After breakfast we will take a transport towards Puno. The bus will head southeast. First visit to the Andahuaylillas Temple, were will observe beautiful 17th century frescoes and a splendid gold-leafed main altar. Continuing will pass Urcos village and stop in Sicuani for lunch by your own. Later pass through Sicuani town. Then pass through the Nudo del Vilcanota, which is the highest crossing point of the White and Black Cordillera de Los Andes (4200 ms), then we will arrive and hotel accommodation in Puno. (B).

Day 7: PUNO – TITICACA LAKE- AMANTANI We will have a full day of excursion to visit the tourist paradise of Amantani Island. World famous hand weavings and ancient communal way of life will be admired and stay overnight in local Family Houses. (B, L, D)

Day 8: AMANTANI – UROS - PUNO After a typical breakfast in a Family House in Amantani, continuing with our fascinating excursion on the Titicaca Lake, we will visit the Uros Floating Islands. Here you will see a group of 40 big island-like packs of floating Totora (reeds), where Uros continue living like their ancestors, preserving its costumes and idiosyncrasy, but above all, their own system of communal life. Travels back to Puno and stay at a hotel in Puno. (B).

Day 9: PUNO – TIWANAKU - LA PAZ (BOLIVIA) We will have breakfast. Transport to Desaguadero. Frontiers pass to Bolivia (change transport). Continue transport to La Paz; on the way visit Tiwanaku pre-Inca ruins. After this visit continue on the road with final arrival to La Paz and hotel accommodations. (B, L)

Day 10: LA PAZ In the morning we will have breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the airport, bus/train station or extension program. (B).

Later on we head towards the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, followed by a visit to the "Gold Museum", which contains some beautiful gold artefacts of the Inca and Pre-Inca civilisations and stay at a hotel in Lima. Day 3: LIMA – ICA – NASCA LINES Starting early in the morning after breakfast a private car will transport us towards Ica City. Then we continue towards Nazca to enjoy an over-flight over Nazca Lines, one of the greatest mysteries of South America. Giant geometrical lines resembling land strips, intriguing figures such as a condor, monkey spider, etc. Later on visit the Nazca Artesian and Cultural Center where the Italian Museum is, containing original pieces of the Nazca Lines and stay at a hotel in Ica. Day 4: ICA - BALLESTAS – LIMA In the morning will be driving north back to visit the Ballestas Islands, where we will observe sea lions, cormorants, pelicans, gannets and other abundant sea birds together with a nice view of the Pacific Ocean. Drive by public bus to the Machu Picchu entrance. Late afternoon a drive will take us to Aguas Calientes by public bus. Train to Cusco. Arrival and transfer to the Hotel in Cusco.

Return to Puno and transport Copacabana by bus for approximately 3 hrs. On the way we pass through the small Andean towns of Juli and Pomata in Peru. Pass of the frontier and arrival in Copacabana (Bolivia) and hotel accommodation. After check in, visits to the city and surroundings, the main square and the Cathedral in Copacabana. Return to the hotel. (B).

Day 10: COPACABANA - SUN ISLAND – PTO. PEREZ. We will have breakfast and enjoy a full day to excursion to the Sun and Moon Islands. This legendary and ancestral island belongs to the origins of the Inca Empire and here will enjoy visiting their temples, archaeology heritage, Inca trails, and agricultural works among other things. Transport to PTO. Perez and hotel accommodation. (B)

Day 11: PTO. PEREZ – TIWANAKU - LA PAZ After breakfast transport to the pre-Inca ruins of Tijuana, one of the most important ruins in Bolivia and where we will observe the under grown and Kalasasaya temples, the agricultural hydraulic systems and other important relics still there as evidences of the ancestral ceremonial center of the Tiwanaku Empire. Later on we continue towards the capital of Bolivia and hotel accommodation in La Paz. (B, L)

Day 12: LA PAZ OUT.
In the morning we will have breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the airport, bus/train station or extension program. (B).

Lima-Nazca-Arequipa-Titicaca- Cusco-Machu Picchu 15D/14N

Day 1: ARRIVAL LIMA We will arrive in Lima. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Welcome cocktail and hotel accommodation and a short briefing about next day activities.

Day 2: LIMA – ICA We will have breakfast. Starting early in the morning private car will transport us towards Ica City. On the way, we will be visiting an artesian Pisco and wine factory, after arrive in Ica and hotel accommodation. The afternoon is free. (B).

Day 3: ICA - NAZCA – ICA Early morning will be driving to Nazca for the optional Nazca Lines over-flight, one of the greatest mysteries of South America. Day 8: AREQUIPA - JULIACA – PUNO We will take the flight to Juliaca and transfer to Puno City. Day 9: PUNO - TITICACA LAKE (UROS & TAQUILE ISLANDS) From your hotel transfer to the shores of Titicaca Lake and by boat travel to Uros, the unique floating islands located on Titicaca Lake. On this group of 40 big island-like packs of floating Totora (reeds), Uros natives continue living like their ancestors, preserving its costumes and idiosyncrasy, but above all, their own system of communal life. Day 1: ARRIVAL LIMA

Day 2: LIMA CITY - PACHACAMAC - LIMA
We will have breakfast. Tour starts early in the morning and will take you through the colonial town visiting the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, San Francisco Church and its impressive "Catacombs". Later on, we will head towards the modern Lima, the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, followed by a visit to the "Gold Museum", which contains some of the world’s most famous gold artefacts of the Inca and Pre-Inca civilisations. After lunch, at 32 km. southward on the Pan-American Highway will take you to the entrance of the Pachacamac Ruins, an important pre-Inca Sanctuary, where you can explore the Sun and the Moon temples built in pyramid-shaped platforms. Day 3: LIMA - CHICLAYO
Transfer to the airport in Lima from where we flight to Chiclayo, located on the north coast of Peru. Transfer to your hotel. After check in we will visit the Tucume’s archaeological complex composed of 26 adobe pyramids. In the afternoon visit to Huaca Rajada an archaeological complex of two pyramids and where we will find the famous tomb of the Mochica Leader known as the Lord of Sipan. Here we will also have the opportunity to visit the Sipan Museum. Late evening return to your hotel in Chiclayo. (B).

Day 4: CHICLAYO - TRUJILLO
Our program will begin early in the morning visiting the Local Market and the "Mercado de Brujos", continuing with the Bunning Museum in Lambayeque City, which contains wonderful gold and silver pieces of the Mochica and Chimu cultures. We continue driving towards Trujillo city. In the afternoon visit to the famous Chan Chan Ruins, considered the largest mud city in the world and declared Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity. It was the nucleus of the Chimu culture in the 12th century. By the sunset time we will be in Huanchaco Beach were you will see the traditional artesian fishers with their "Caballitos de Totora” (reed boats) and hotel. (B)

Day 5: TRUJILLO - LIMA - ICA
Starting early in the morning transfer from the hotel to the airport in Trujillo, from where we will be flying to Lima. Arrival in Lima and immediately private car will transport you towards Ica. Day 19: CUSCO - PUERTO MALDONADO In the morning a transfer will take us to the airport in Cusco and flight to Puerto Maldonado. Reception in the airport followed by a small tour of Puerto Maldonado’s colourful markets before crossing town to the river Madre de Dios. Here the motorized canoe waits to take you to our jungle Lodge. Once settled into the typical bungalows, the adventure begins with a trip to an historical boat, the Fitzcarrald, stranded well within the jungle a good 400 meters from the river. Lunch and a short “siesta” rest precede a 3/4-bour walk introducing you to the Amazonian forest. We will go back to the lodge and have dinner. (B, L, D).

Day 20: PUERTO MALDONADO Early in the morning, a dawn trip to a parrot clay lick, known locally as "collpas", to witness a phenomenal behaviour where resident species of parrot and parakeet come to breakfast on clay at the lodge. Then back on the river for an 8km trip downstream to the Monkey Island. We will have lunch. The afternoon takes us on a 5km walk through vast palm swamps to reach the hidden paradise of Lake Sandoval. Here we have the chance to find the rare “River Wolves” (giant otters), monkeys swinging along the shores and a huge variety of fishes including the infamous piranha. As dusk descends we look for the large black caiman in the lake before an adventurous nocturnal hike back to the river. We will go back to the lodge and have dinner. (B, L, D).

Day 21: PUERTO MALDONADO - LIMA

Day 3: MACHU PICCHU-CUSCO
After breakfast transfer to Ollanta Station. From here we start a 1-hour train ride along an impressive canyon dug out by the Vilcanota River on its impetuous way towards the Amazon Rainforest basin. After our arrival in Aguas Calientes Town, a 30 min bus ride will take us to the entrance of the citadel, the world famous Machu Picchu. A guided tour will take us around the amazing ruins. Day 4: CUSCO-LIMA.

Day 5: LIMA-QUITO.

Day 8: GALAPAGOS.
In the morning we will visit PTO. Egas. Located on the west side of James Island, this site has been seriously affected by mining activities in the 1960´s. Day 9: GALAPAGOS-QUITO.
In the morning visit to Seymour Island. This is the home of the largest colony of magnificent frigate birds in the Galapagos. There is also the largest population of blue-footed boobies nesting from May to November. Transfer to Baltra to take your flight back to Quito (or Guayaquil). Farewell dinner and hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 10: QUITO.
Transfer out. (B).

Peru (Machu Picchu) & Ecuador (Galapagos) 15D/14N

 

Peru:
Day 1: LIMA. We will arrive in Lima City. Transfer to the hotel of your choice.

Day 2: LIMA-CUSCO-URUBAMBA. Early morning transfer to the airport. A flight of 40 min will take us to Cusco City, the ancient Capital of the Inca Empire. After arrival we will visit the Incas Sacred Valley (Urubamba). Visit to Pisac Inca Ruins and the Indian market. Visit Ollantaytambo fortress and hotel. (B, L).

Day 3: MACHU PICCHU-URUBAMBA
After breakfast transfer to Ollanta train Station. From here we start a 1-hour train ride along the impressive Vilcanota River canyon. After our arrival in Aguas Calientes Town, a 30 min bus ride will take us to the entrance of the citadel for a guided tour in the world famous Machu Picchu ruins. By train we will return to Urubamba and hotel. (B).

Day 4: URUBAMBA - CUSCO
In the morning we will drive back to Cusco on the way on visiting the colourful Indian market of Chincheros. Visit Sacsayhuaman, Quenqo and Puca Pucara Ruins on the vicinity of Cusco and hotel. The afternoon is free to enjoy the city and do some last shopping. (B).

Day 5: CUSCO – LIMA. In the morning transfer to the airport and we will take a flight to Lima. Transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a 4-hour city tour including a visit to the impressive Gold Museum, one of the most important in the world, which contains precious pieces of the pre-Inca and Inca periods. In the evening enjoy a farewell dinner in a local restaurant (B, D).

Ecuador:

Day 6: LIMA – QUITO. In the morning flight to Quito City. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon we will visit to the old town including San Francisco and La Compañia Churches. Visit to the monument on the Equator Line and hotel. (B).

Day 7: QUITO – OTAVALO. In the morning we will drive north towards Otavalo Town. Visit Cotacachi village, Cuicocha Lake and San Antonio de Ibarra and stay at a hotel in Otavalo. (B)

Day 8: OTAVALO – QUITO. Early morning visit to the animal market followed by a visit to the famous Otavalo Indian market, perhaps one of the most colourful in South America. After lunch enjoy a short hike on the beautiful highlands of Mojanda Lakes. Late afternoon we will return to Quito and hotel. (B, BL)

Day 9: QUITO - GALAPAGOS
Transfer to the airport. A flight of 3 hours will take us to Baltra Island. Here starts a 5-day trip, admiring and observing one of the wonders of the world, the Galapagos Islands. Arrival and transfer to your yacht. We will visit Bachas Beach, a great introduction to the Galapagos wildlife. (B, D)

Day 10: GALAPAGOS
We will visit Plazas and Santa Fe islands. Here we can observe the endemic land iguanas of Galapagos and cactus forest in the stark desert landscape. The snorkelling sites are also of great beauty. (B, L, D)

Day 11: GALAPAGOS
Visit Española Island, perhaps the most important due to the immense variety of sea birds, sea lions, marine iguanas and the impressive blow holes at Punta Suarez. (B, L, D)

Day 12: GALAPAGOS This day is to visit the legendary Floreana Island. After we will visit the Post Office Bay and Corona del Diablo, this is a snorkelling site. (B, L, D)

Day 13: GALAPAGOS – GUAYAQUIL In the morning we will visit the famous Charles Darwin Station. Transfer to the airport and flight to the city of Guayaquil, the biggest city in Ecuador and one of the most important ports in the west coast of South America and hotel. (B, L)

Day 14: GUAYAQUIL This day is to enjoy visiting the new many attractions of this city, which has been transformed in the last 4 years in a very attractive place. Visit the New Malecon, the colourful Las Peñas neighbourhood and the very interesting Historical Park where we can observe different kind of tropical wild life. In the evening we will have a farewell dinner in a local restaurant. (B, D)

Day 15: GUAYAQUIL TRANSFER OUT. Transfer out. (B).
